Ingredients
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 pound (450 g) stemmed seedless green grapes
- 4 to 5 peeled seedless green grapes; or 1½ ounces (45 g) peeled and seeded honeydew melon, cut into ½ x ¼-inch (1 x 0.5-cm) pieces
- 4 teaspoons kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- ⅔ cup (135 g) whole blanched almonds
- 2 to 3 large cloves garlic, smashed and peeled
- 2 ounces (60 g) crustless French or Italian bread, torn into small pieces
- ⅓ cup (80 ml) olive oil
- 2⅔ (630 ml) cups ice water
