Mocha Buttercream Frosting — What's Nasreen Cooking
Mocha buttercream icing is easier to make than you think. It is not too sweet and is perfect for topping cakes, cupcakes and filling layered cakes. I love this icing with chocolate cake!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened (room temperature)
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1-2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
