Ingredients

• 2 sticks (8 oz) unsalted butter (room temperature)
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• 2 egg yolks (room temperature)
• 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
• 1 tsp kosher salt
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1.5 oz (⅓ cup) roasted hazelnuts, chopped*
• 3 oz (½ cup) chopped Maple Toffee, see recipe below (you can also sub store-bought toffee)
• 1 (4 oz) 60% dark chocolate bar, chopped**
• 1 egg
• 1 Tbsp water
• Demerara sugar or colored sugar of choice
