Ingredients
- 5-6 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 3 ⅓ lbs beef chuck, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 onions, halved and thinly sliced
- 2 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon hot paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander powder
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 hot green pepper, thinly sliced and de-seeded
- 2 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into medium cubes
- 6 red tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 1-2 tablespoons tamarind paste (optional)
