Here's a tasty twist on classic shepherd's pie. We've added baked beans to the lamb and sweet potato to the topping to create a brand-new hearty family meal.
Ingredients
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 500g minced lamb
- 227g chopped tomatoes
- 50ml boiling water (or lamb, or beef stock)
- 840g can baked beans
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 500g baking potatoes, washed
- 500g sweet potatoes, washed
- 75g butter
- 30ml milk
