Caramel Easter Eggs • Nicola Brown

Ingredients

• 1 cup cacao butter, grated or 1 cup coconut oil (or a combination of the two)
• 1/3 cup maple syrup
• 1 cup cacao or quality cocoa powder, sifted to remove lumps
• 1/2 teaspoon freeze-dried raspberry or strawberry powder (I use Fresh As) or cinnamon
• 1/4 cup (3 or 4) fresh dates
• 1/2 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
• 2 tablespoons almond or cashew butter
• 2 teaspoons maple syrup
• 2 u2013 2 tablespoons warm water
