Beef Swedish Meatballs | truLOCAL Recipe

Ingredients

• 1/3 cup of breadcrumbs
• 1 egg
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 lb of ground beef
• 1 yellow onion, chopped
• 1 tbsp of butter
• 2 tbsp of olive oil
• 1 tbsp of Worcestershire
• a pinch of nutmeg (also great: ginger or allspice)
• salt and pepper for taste
• 2 tbsp of fresh parsley (then more for garnish!)
• For the sauce:
• 4 tbsp of butter
• 3 tbsp of flour
• 2 cups of beef broth
• 1 cup of milk
• 1/2 tbsp of 4 spice
• 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard
• Optional: Lingonberry jam, for serving
