• 4 squares Baker's Semi-sweet chocolate -- broken into pieces
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 cup Karo syrup
• 3 eggs -- slightly beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1/4 cups pecan halves
• 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inch)
