Nut Rolls recipe: from a Croatian family - mine.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk boiled
- 1 large (or 2 small) cake yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup shortening (or all butter, or all margerine)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 eggs
- 5 cups flour+ (may need more) sifted
- 1 pound nuts shelled and ground. Scalded milk and sugar to taste.
