Ingredients

• 1 lb fresh chorizo sausage
• 1/4 c unsalted butter
• 1 Large onion, chopped (about 1 c)
• 1 c chopped celery
• 1/2 Medium red bell pepper, finely chopped (about 1/2 c)
• 1 Medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
• 1 tsp dried sage leaves
• 1 tsp dried thyme leaves
• 1 (16-oz) package cornbread stuffing crumbs
• 15 oz TURKEY BROTH or low sodium chicken broth
• 1/2 tsp garlic salt
• 1/2 tsp chili powder
• 1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves, crushed
• 1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
• 1 (14-lb) WHOLE TURKEY, thawed if frozen
• 2 to 3 tbsp canola oil
