Ingredients

• 4 cups bread flour, divided
• 1 tablespoon Red Star Active Dry Yeast
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon fine salt
• 2 teaspoon lemon rind (grated)
• 1/2 cup evaporated milk
• 1/3 cup water
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 large eggs
• 1/3 cup candied fruit (chopped)
• 1/3 cup golden raisins
• 1/3 cup almonds (chopped)
• Egg wash: 1 egg plus 1 tablespoon water (whisked together)
• 2 tablespoons almonds, for topping (blanched, whole)
