  • 1 cup steel-cut oats, toasted in a 300° oven. Spread o a baking pan and toast for 20 minutes until lightly browned, stirring once or twice. Cool
  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 4 Tablespoon cold butter
  • 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
