Homemade Couscous with Soup | Asif

Ingredients

• 400 grams (14 oz) dried chickpeas soaked for 8 hours in water with a pinch of baking soda
• ⅓ cup olive oil
• 3 onions, finely chopped
• 4 cabbage leaves, chopped
• 1 kg (2.2lb) pumpkin, peeled and and cut into large cubes
• 3 carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
• 3 zucchinis, coarsely chopped
• 4-5 celery stalks with the leaves, coarsely chopped
• 3 waxy potatoes, peeled and cut into large cubes
• 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• Salt, to taste
• 1 kg (2.2lb) fine semolina
• ½ cup neutral oil
• 1 teaspoon salt
• Boiling water
