Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour (or 2 1/4 cups Softasilk® cake flour)
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil (or canola)
• 7 large egg yolks
• 3/4 cup water
• 2 teaspoons almond extract
• 7 large egg whites
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
