• 1 cup (250 ml) quick cooking rolled oatmeal
• 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) baking soda
• 1 pinch of salt
• 2/3 cup (150 ml) unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
• 3 tablespoons (45 ml) milk
• 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract
