• 22 (5 ounces) Werther’s Original Chewy Caramels, unwrapped
• 12 slices of canned pineapple, drained
• 12 maraschino cherries, drained
• 3 large eggs, room temperature
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
