Ingredients
- 2 pounds all-purpose flour, sifted
- 2¼ tablespoons active dry yeast
- ¾ cups warm water (around 105F)
- 6 eggs
- ⅔ cups peanut oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons anise seed
- 1 cup slivered, toasted almonds
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 3 tablespoons orange blossom water
- ½ teaspoons sea salt
- 2 egg yolks, whisked, for egg wash
- Sesame seeds, for topping
