• 1 large shallot, finely diced
• 1 large garlic clove, minced

• 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 cups beef broth, room temperature
• 1/4 teaspoon all spice
• 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 3/4 cups full fat sour cream (or 1/2 cup heavy cream)
