Lovely coffee and date flavors with chopped pecans. Easy to make, perfect for a special treat!
Ingredients
- 200g dates, medjool if possible, stoned and chopped finely
- 200ml strong black coffee
- 150g butter, room temperature
- 150g soft brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 250g self-raising flour
- 100g pecans, chopped finely, reserve 8 for final decoration
- 2 eggs, beaten
