• 2 tablespoons natural sugar cane
• 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
• 6 tablespoons pure dark maple syrup
• 3 tablespoons canola oil or other neutral oil
• 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract or oil
• 1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup pure dark maple syrup
• 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest (optional)
