This basic rustic tomato sauce is perfect for a pizza. It is a wonderful base for all of your favourite toppings - from delicious cheese to meat and veggies
Ingredients
- 45ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced
- a handful of fresh basil leaves
- 30ml (2 tbsp) fresh oregano leaves
- 15ml (1 tbsp) fresh rosemary, chopped
- 3 x 410g tins whole peeled tomatoes
- 5ml (1 tsp) sugar
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
