Ontario Nectarine, Basil and Fried Mozzarella Stacks | Vineland Growers
Fresh mozzarella cheese rounds are breaded and fried. The fried mozzarella is then stacked on Ontario nectarine slices with basil in between. Topped with a balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup flour
- ¼ tsp each salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced into 8 thick round slices
- 2 large nectarines, sliced into rounds
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 12 large basil leaves
