Spaghetti with Sardines, Caramelised Fennel & Onions – Love and Cook

Ingredients

• 300 g spaghetti (or linguine)
• 2 tins sardines in olive oil (roughly 125g each)
• 1- 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
• 1 fennel bulb (thinly sliced)
• 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes ( or more if you want it hotter)
• 1 lemon juice ( juiced and zested)
• Optional cherry tomatoes
• parmesan
• fresh fennel fronds
