Rough Chopped Salad With Yogurt and Dukkah Recipe - Los Angeles Times
Seasonal crunchy vegetables get served over yogurt and topped with crunchy, nutty dukkah in this Israeli salad.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups plain Greek-style yogurt or labneh
- 2 vine-ripe tomatoes, cored and quartered
- 2 small kohlrabi, trimmed and quartered
- 2 Persian cucumbers, cut on a bias into<br/> 1 1/2-inch chunks
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and cut on a bias into 1 1/2-inch chunks
- 2 radishes, trimmed and quartered
- 2 scallions, green tops only, cut on a bias into 1-inch pieces
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Dukkah (see recipe below)
- 1 cup whole hazelnuts, preferably blanched
- 1/2 cup raw white sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons whole coriander seeds
- 3 tablespoons whole cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Diamond Crystal kosher salt
