• 2 cups distilled white vinegar
• 2 cups water
• 6 tablespoons kosher salt
• 2 pounds of firm green tomatoes
• 2 heads garlic, cloves separated and peeled then sliced in half
• 5 tablespoons dried dill weed or seed
• 5 teaspoons whole black peppercorns
• 1 1/4 teaspoons red pepper flakes
