Almond cherry blossoms
These little almond cherry blossom tarts are simply irresistible. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy with a hot cuppa for a delicious morning or afternoon tea treat
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 125 gram cold butter, cubed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 - 3 tsp cold water
- 1/3 cup cherry jam
- icing sugar, to dust
- Cream cheese filling
- 200 gram cream cheese, softened
- 50 gram butter, softened
- 1 small egg yolk
- 2 tablespoon ground almonds
- 2 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
