Ingredients

  • 4-6 boneless fish fillets (any white fillets, such as haddock, whiting, snapper, cod)
  • 2 eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2-4 Tablespoons oil for sautéing
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry herbs (such as parsley, basil, thyme, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 shallot (minced)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3-4 Tablespoons lemon juice (or dry white wine)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • salt (ground black pepper, to taste)
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
