Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) 35% or 15% cream
• 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) milk
• 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) grated mozzarella
• 5 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1 large round loaf country-style bread (not sourdough), cut into 1 1/2-inch (4-cm) cubes (about 3 litres/12 cups)
• 4 slices bacon, cut crosswise into small pieces
• 3/4 lb (340 g) cooked ham, diced
• 6 green onions, chopped
• 2 tomatoes, seeded and diced
• Salt and pepper
