Simple Stir Fry - Half Your Plate
Corn starch needs to come to a boil before it will thicken.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Vegetable or peanut oil
- 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breast (cubed)
- 1 cup Broccoli (florets)
- 1 cup Snap peas or snow peas
- 2 Carrots (thinly sliced)
- 1 Red Pepper (or Green Pepper)
- 2 cups Bean Sprouts (rinsed well)
- 2 Green Onions (minced)
- 1/3 cup Low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Low sodium chicken or beef broth
- 1/3 cup Rice wine or rice vinegar
- 3 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/3 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (minced)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp Red pepper flakes or sriracha hot sauce ((you can omit if you don't want it spicy!))
- 1 large head Cauliflower
- 2 tsp Peanut or vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
