Ingredients
- 16 oz pasta (I used whole wheat penne)
- 1/2 lb ground beef (I used 85% lean)
- 4 pieces bacon, cut into 2 inch strips
- 2 links spicy Italian sausage, quartered
- 1/2 small yellow onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 10 oz sliced white mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 oz cooked shrimp (I used Trader Joe's frozen shrimp without tails)
- 2 cans (28 oz per can) crushed San Marzano tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- dash of Tabasco hot sauce
- salt
- pepper
- fresh basil leaves for garnish
- shredded Parmesan cheese for serving
