Southern Peach Pie Perfection

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons butter
• Coarse sanding sugar, for sprinkling on top of the pie crust
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg, beaten
• 2 tablespoons flour
• Pinch of allspice (optional)
• 6-7 large fresh, ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 double crust pie crust
• 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
