• 4 slices of thick cut bacon
• ¼ cup butter
• 3 stocks celery, chopped
• 1 onion, chopped
• 5-6 cups chicken stock
• 1 large or 2 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
• 1-pound fresh asparagus, trimmed, remove tips and set aside
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 (8 ounce) package of sliced cremini mushrooms
• ¾ cup half and half
