• 16 oz Great Northern white beans, dried OR 30 oz. white beans, canned, liquid reserved
• water
• 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
• 1 large, diced onion
• 1 tsp heaping dried thyme leaves
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 2 tsp garlic salt
• 2 bouillon cubes (vegetable or chicken)
• 8 oz Portuguese sausage (1/2" diced)
• 1 bunch kale (stems removed, leaves chopped)
• 3 Tbsp dried or fresh parsley
