Chili Taco Soup

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
• 1 large onion chopped
• 2 cloves garlic minced
• 3 cups diced tomatoes undrained
• 16 ounce can hominy undrained
• 16 ounce can pinto beans undrained
• 4 ounce can chopped green chilies
• 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
• 1 envelope ranch-style dressing mix
• 1 1/2 cups water or more as needed
• 1 tablespoon chipotle chile canned in adobo minced, optional
• salt and pepper to taste
