Ingredients

• 1 lb. Italian sausage meat, no casing, crumbled
• 1 red onion, chopped
• 1 carrot, diced small
• 2 celery stalks, diced small
• 2 garlic cloves, chopped
• 1 apple, diced small
• salt and pepper to taste
• ½ cup olive oil
• ½ baguette, cubed
• ½ qt. turkey stock
• 1 pinch chopped fresh sage or dried sage powder
• 1 pinch fresh thyme or dried thyme
