In this babka-shaped milk bread, plain and chocolate doughs are entwined to create a beautiful, swirled, tiger stripe-like pattern in every slice.

- 2 1/2 cups (300g) King Arthur Unbleached Bread Flour, plus more for dusting
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons (14g) King Arthur Baker's Special Dry Milk, optional*
- 1 tablespoon (9g) instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons (156g) milk, cold; divided
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons (9g) black cocoa, or another Dutch-process cocoa
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (64g) semisweet chocolate chips
