• 5 tsp olive oil
• 1 large onion, sliced
• Salt and black pepper
• 1½ tsp caraway
• 1 large apple, peeled
• 250 ml white wine, cored and chopped
• 8 good-quality pork sausages
• 400 g sauerkraut
• 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar, drained and rinsed
• 1 tbsp English mustard
• 2 large waxy potatoes
• 30 g butter, thinly sliced
