Ingredients

• 2 cups fresh pitted cherries
• 1/4 cup water
• 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 tbsp fresh lemon zest divided in half
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 6-8 tbsp ice cold water
• 3 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling on top of pies)
• non-stick cooking spray
