Ingredients

• 4 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup milk
• 1/4 cup porter or ale
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 1/2 loaf of sourdough bread, cut into ½- inch pieces
• 1 leek, coarsely chopped
• 1/2 red bell pepper, seeded& chopped
• 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
• Salt& pepper to season
