Tsoureki - Traditional Greek Easter Bread – Fancy Peasant

Ingredients

• 5 pounds all purpose flour
• 2 cups warm milk
• 1 cup warm water
• 2 cups 1/4 sugar
• 6 eggs
• 2 egg yolks for egg wash
• 2 juiced oranges and their zest
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 3 packs dry yeast
• 3 sticks and 1 tablespoon melted butter
• 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
• 1/2 teaspoon cardamon
• 1/2 teaspoon mahleb
• a pinch of salt
• white sesame seeds to taste
• slivered almonds to taste
