Ingredients

• 1/2 lb (225 g) asparagus trimmed
• 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) water
• 3 cups (750 mL) chicken broth or vegetable broth
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) finely chopped onion
• 1 celery stalk sliced
• 1 tsp (5 mL) dried tarragon
• 1 cup (250 mL) Milk or 15 % or 18 % table cream
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 boiled eggs chopped
