- ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp freshly grated parmesan (optional)
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped flat-leaf parsley (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 700 g passata
- 375 ml chicken stock
- 1 tsp white sugar (optional)
- ½ tsp sea salt flakes
- 125 g freshly grated cheddar or mozzarella
