Bacon and Leek Potato Bisque Recipe - Delicious Canadian Dish

Ingredients

• 8 slices of bacon
• 2 leeks , sliced (using mostly white parts)
• 1 lb (454 g) of butter
• 1 cup of flour
• 1 qt (946 ml) of water
• 1 tbsp of chicken base (Minor's) or 2-3 bouillon cubes
• 4 small potatoes , peeled and diced
• 1 pt (473 ml) of heavy cream
• salt to taste
• white pepper to taste
• dash of nutmeg
