Ingredients

  • 397g condensed milk
  • 400g butter softened
  • 75g icing sugar
  • Few drops orange essence
  • Few drops orange food colouring
  • 250g butter
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 oranges zest
  • 200g self raising flour
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 115g butter, softened
  • 140g icing sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 115g plain flour
  • Red, yellow and gold spray
  • To make the cake beat together the butter and sugar until white add the eggs and zest whisk up then fold in the flour and cocoa, pour into a lined greased tin and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, cool.
  • To make the tuiles, beat all the ingredients together, chill for 20 minutes then roll out and cut into fire strands bake on a lined tray at 200c for2 to 3 minutes, curl into flames.
  • Break the cake up into pieces and place inside mini cauldrons or bowls.
  • Mix the butter, condensed milk, icing sugar, essence and colouring together until smooth and together . Top the cake pieces with the buttercream.
  • Stick the flames all around the edges then spray with edible coloured spray.
