Ingredients

• 6 tablespoons salted butter
• 2 medium shallots, thinly sliced
• 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
• 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
• 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
• 3 cups low sodium chicken or turkey broth
• kosher salt and cracked black pepper
• pan drippings from herb roasted turkey (optional)
• 1 cup Bartholomew Estate Marsanne Roussanne wine (plus one glass for enjoying during preparation!)
