• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 6 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons cold water
• 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
• 1/2 pound walnuts, ground
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
