Robin’s Random Recipes

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• .5 cup instant potato flakes (1 oz)
• .5 cup cold water
• 1 egg
• 4 cups flour
• 3 eggs, separated
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup bourbon
• 1/4 cup light rum
• 2 cups milk
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 6 ears corn (medium, fresh), husks and silk removed
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter plus extra for greasing baking dish
• 2/3 cup heavy cream
• 1 1/2 teaspoons table salt
• 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1 1/3 cups whole milk
• 4 large eggs, beaten lightly
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
