• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
• 1 teaspoon chopped coriander
• 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
• 1 1/2 cups mashed potatoes
• 2 tablespoons carrots, grated
• 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts, ground
• 1 tablespoon soya sauce
• 1/2 teaspon sugar
• 1 tablespoon cornflour, mixed with water to make a paste
• oil for deep frying
