Creole okra, corn & tomatoes recipe

Ingredients

• 4 thick slices of smoked bacon
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
• 1/2 cup chopped celery
• 1/2 pound okra, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
• 4 ears of sweet corn, kernels cut from cob and cobs scraped, or 1 -11 ounces can kernel sweet corn
• 2 ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
• 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano leaves
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• Salt to taste
• Hot pepper sauce to taste
