• 1 tsp baking powder

• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp cardamom
• ½ tsp sea salt
• ⅔ cup pecans ((or walnuts, crushed))
• 4 figs ((chopped, optional))
• 3 large eggs
• ½ cup buttermilk
• ¾ cup fig jam
• ½ cup unsalted butter
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp almond extract
• 1 Tbsp unsalted butter ((to grease the pan))
• 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
• ¼ cup fig jam
• 2 Tbsp water
• 6 figs ((garnish))
